Hudson is very observant about what's going on with the house... each time we go there he always notices just what has changed since the last time. Today is was the beginning of the roof shingling process and our garage door...
I have walls! A lot went up for just two days... that's kind of a selling point of theirs. I know they construct many of the pieces off-site and then haul them over to make it go faster. This is theoretically more economical because they can sort out the undesirable lumber in their warehouse (or wherever) without having to drag it out to the site. And they can do it while the foundation is curing. And the construction guys can do all this in just a day... And then further down, day 2...
DAY 1:
DAY 2: A ceiling for the 1st floor... or floor for the 2nd floor, whichever. And two walls... makes for a nice view, anyway!
It's been a few weeks since anything's really changed, but my driveway was finally poured last week... There's really nothing left to do but start building... Lumber drop is still scheduled to be on or around the 20th - that's MONDAY!
I'm a single mom kickin' it in the midwest. I spend my days at work doing Configuration Management (you'll have to look it up if you want to know what that even is) and my evenings at home with the best 2 year old ever.
